A straight flush is the highest possible hand in poker when no wild cards are present. A straight flush can also include an ace, which is counted as the lowest card. Other possible straight flush combinations include a royal flush, which is the highest hand possible and consists of A-K-Q-J-10 of the same suit.
When making a Straight Flush, it is important to keep the odds in mind. The odds of making a flush are 0.2%. However, two players can make a straight flush with the same high card, which means they split the pot.
Gutshot
Gutshot was a bar, internet cafe, restaurant and poker club in Clerkenwell Road, London. It opened in March 2004 and closed in 2007. The club was founded by Barry Martin and Derek Kelly. Gutshot aimed to be a place where anyone could enjoy poker and enjoy themselves. However, due to poor management and financial problems, the club closed in 2007.
In poker, a gutshot is a semi-bluffing hand, which can improve to a straight with two more cards. However, it rarely hits big. As such, players are advised to fold large bets if they have a gutshot.
